Gone

Gone by Miranda Proctor

Rain.

Falling

From the sky’s

Means of expression;

Shattering

On the

Pavement below.

One

By

One

They landed—

Like birds

Seeking

A spot on a wire

They cling

To your lashes.

One droplet

Too many.

Gone.

Hi everyone!

The rainy weather here in Houston is what inspired this poem. Luckily, I was able to find a break in between the storms to do this shoot.

This type of outfit is my go-to during this type of weather. Layering allows you to mix different types of textures and details to create an especially unique outfit. Here you can see that I’ve included wool, beading, lace, and a touch of sparkle. Combining so many different details can seem overwhelming but with a careful eye, you can find the perfect combination that accentuates the overall outfit.

Considering we haven’t seen much of the sun these past couple days I wanted to create a darker look to match the mood. The raw, urban setting helped reflect this. These dark, moody looks are perfect before the transition into spring, so take advantage.

Stay unique.

Thanks for reading,

Miranda
